To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent
people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest
critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Placido is a bright, kind-hearted, and athletic 7th grader who received news at the beginning of this semester that he had Cancer.
Join the Belen Family in supporting a special family that has been witnessing just how incredible the Human Body is and how resilient a 7th graders spirit can be when looking Cancer in the eye...and deciding to fight with all his might.
In honor of Mother’s Day this weekend, we encourage everyone to donate if they can! Also, please share Placido’s fundraising page with as many of your contacts as possible.
We have created a fundraising page for Placido through “Give Forward.” This is the same platform used for Andres Hidalgo (another Belen Student Battling Cancer) last year, whose mother confirmed that it is reliable and was a huge help to them.
We all have a wonderful opportunity to rally again around this family in their time of need and help them in a very practical way.
